Strut question

Hey guys,

I just started drivin g my 91 240SX only to find that the rear struts need to be replaced. Has anyone ever had experience with KYB GR2 struts? Also, are the front struts cartridge style? The ones on there look old, but the previous owner told me he had had the front suspension re-done recently. Thanks all.

No you can't replace the cartridges. As for the kyb gr2's they will work fine. Actually I think there are some oem rears on ebay right now for like $35 for the pair. That's were I got mine. Otherwise the kyb's will work. I put them on my MX-6 and no problems.

yeah bazan and i went to a shop today. the guy there knows his stuff and was strongly pushing the Tokico HPs. Problem is that bazan is on a budget. the GR2s are $40 from summit while the best price i can find on the HPs are $65.

What should he do?
