apparently the greddy strut bar along with many others don't clear the sr in an s13 that has nismo motor mount. do u guys know of any good ones that will clear( personaly experience only please) and i dont mind if its an ebay strut... as long as its' quality, it doesn't have to have a name that ups the price in my opinion

so any input would be cool, would like to stiffen up the chassis a ltitle bit, thanks to all

My Pilot strut fits fine. Check Phase2 for them. I think they are like $80 front and rear. Pretty good bang for the buck.

My s13 that I sold had the older greddy strut bar on with nismo mounts on red top that clears.

You can get them on ebay cheaper FYI...I paid like $38 for the front and rear IIRC.

Is that for pilot or just another cheap brand that everyone else sells? Those cheap bars online can be flexed a bit by a person, so I guess the saying goes, "you get what you pay for"

Uh, no. Those are for Pilot bars which are pretty 'cheap' too. I got two of the same rear top hats w/ mine and had to re-drill them to work (and believe it or not, my holes lined up better than the factory holes).

Have you ever felt a Cusco bar or some other expensive bar? They are all hollow aluminum (or CF) and can be easily flexed/bend/broken by hand.

I had expensive strut bars on my Subaru (cusco) and have Spoon strut bars on my g/f's Integra...you know what I've realized? That in the world of strut bars, 9 times out of 10 the phrase 'you get what you pay for' doesn't apply! Hype!

Why does everyone buy those friggin NISMO motor mounts. They're hella expensive and they raise the motor. Cusco makes a set that are half the price and work great, if not better.

where did you get them at? does it come with transmission mounts also? I got Nismo mounts cause it was easier to find and I got a great deal on it.

yah, wtf is that? NISMO...nissans counterpart, makes a mount that messes up the car's layout? you'd think that they'd fix taht issue w/ raising the motor...

I bought mine from phase2motortrend. At the time it was their last set. They dont seem to be very common and often not listed on websites, you have to call them and ask if they carry them. Before i called phase2, i called enjuku and they didnt have any in stock. Definantely rare.

Yep I had a greddy trust bar on my s13 and it was hollow and wasn't flexible like my friend's cheap strut bar wherever he got it from. ;)

I think the reason why a lot more people go with the nismo mounts is because the nismo mounts come with the two engine mounts and the transmission mount. Does the cusco only comes with engine mounts?

Yes, but they are hella lot cheaper. And i guess it depends if you want a transmission mount or not.
