Ok I have a problem, I got a strut bar and I tried a breaker bar and a wrench and the bolts are stripped. So what can I do? I don't know what to do. I can't get the other ones off.Josh

Strut tower bolts should be 14mm.

I find it interesting that you can't get your strut tower bolts off. I had no problems breaking any of mine and I'm weak as hell when it comes to needing forceful strength.

if they are rounded to hell then try cutting a grove into the side of the nut with a dremel or chisel then use the chisel and a hammer and try to hammer it off.

If you can still get a socket to get grip try a breaker bar and use a hammer at the end of the bar sometimes the shock will break them loose.

And if that don't work you can always just cut the nut straight off with a dremel tool or grinder. you just have to get new nuts. cut the side of the nut all the way to the stud and then they should thread off VERY EASILY.

I have tried all 3 of your suggestions and those things are way tighter than 30 to 40 pounds. I don't know how but there is no way in heck I can get them off. Me and my dad have tried countless times. I tried to hammer a 13mm socket on there but it is just to small, I can't get it on there. Plus how would I get it off even if I did get it on there? Any other ideas?Josh

I was just trying to get them off with a ratchet and they just kept rounding every time I tried to pull. They are really cheap bolts.Josh

Cant use a rachet, tryed that, doesnt work. You need a wrench and 14mm socket.

Do what lost said and cut a little notch on the side of the nut and then wedge a chisel or a flat screwdriver into it and hammer it out.

If that STILL doesn't work, then use a vice grip and a mallet.

I don't see how you can bruise up this nut so badly unless you used a wrong sized socket!

I did it! Well my dad did it. He had an Idea and took a drill and drilled a hold in the side and then knocked them bit**es off with a chisel. Finally, only two days for a stur bar. Thanks for all of you guys' help. I'll post pics when I find the camera.Josh

Two days for a strut bar.. I don't wanna imagine how long it would take to replace the crank pulley :)
