strut bar for the J30

[I was thinking even if it does nothing. Fabricating a strut bar for my Jay:cool: I've noticed the engine sit high and i don't want to remove the valve cover. Any thoughts

Make sure you measure the engine movements on the mounts and leave an inch or two clearance for rotation and combinational upward movement over bumps.

The strut tower metal only moves <1/4 " under peak load with a force of less than 400 pounds [measured on a Q - J should be similiar] so 1600 pounds per inch deflection should be a good design point.

1/2" Thin, 2" wide across roof of engine not much clearance with the hood.
