I've seen strut bars go anywhere from $15.00 to $215.00 on ebay.

I understand that they are all of different brands, but i mean, how much different can they be?

Is it actually worth spending $150.00 or will i be getting just about as good as perfromance with a $30.00 one?

thanks for the help,

neo

neuspeed is one of the best pricewise IMO.

the ones going for $30.00 on ebay are 3-piece. The 3 peice is pretty much for show in my eyes. They do very little to keep your struts tied securely for lack of a better term. The 1-piece allows little if any flexing, if you dont believe me, try and install a neuspeed on a car with a slightly bent unibody, believe me, its not fun. :)

i think for the most part you are paying for the name. yes, i am sure the materials used are of better quality in the higher priced ones. i have cusco and i dont care taht i paid a high price for them.

I'm sure with higher prices also comes with better/stronger material/alloy and construction. You dont want your strut bar cracking or creaking or breaking under your hood.

Any recommendations as to where to get Neuspeed strut braces for a S13 240SX?

I'm gonna get the Cusco oval shaft bars. I've seen pictures of the Cusco bars next to the cheapo Ebay bars. There is definitely a difference in quality. The ends on the Cusco bars are BUILT.

I'd imagine you'll probably never actually have a STB fail, but I just prefer to buy the best I can afford.

You might want to look at the Whiteline STB's. Their products are very well regarded, so I'd imagine that the STB's are decent too. They are also cheaper than Cusco.

I paid between $70-80 for my GReddy FSTB. I like it.

The more expensive ones are also lighter from my experiences.

I have had pretty good results with my OBX strut bars.I got Front and Rear bars however the Rear bar is a lower tie bar.

I've noticed a diffrence in the handlingand I would gladly pay the 160$ for both of them to do it again.

OBX is a less expensive brand but they got the job done.

I bought a cheapo bar off eBay from autobacs1 and when I went to put it on, the damn bar didn't even fit! It hit the bottom of the hood when I shut it. My friend and I tried to put it on every single way we could (which wasn't many) and we finally decided that it was crap. Never heard back from them either.
