Time to change Strut and Shocks. I see on ebay i can get the set for 200 shipped. I check kyb catalog and the model number match up. I know KYB GR2 are as close to OEM as i can get.

Thats a great price!! Rock Auto was the cheapest I could find at the time for shocks and struts. I believe the struts alone were that price. Let us know how u like them after they are installed.

FYI Amazon currently have the KYB strut/shocks on sale with free shipping. I got myself a early x-mas giftFor my 98 QX4, GR2 strut pair costs $114.2 and Gas-a-just stock pair costs $89.72. Total $203.92. No ebay hassle.

Great Deal and thanks for the post. Looked at my receipt from Rock Auto and here is what I paid for the Gas a Just shocks:

2000 NISSAN PATHFINDER 3.3L 3275cc V6 FI [VG33E] KYB KG4163 Shock Absorber $ 47.79 $ x 2 $ 95.58 Discount $ -4.78 Shipping Ground (FedEx or UPS) $ 7.19 Order Total $ 97.99

I dont need struts yet but at that price I may order them. By the way, so far I really like the shocks except for the color--they are white.....

Update: I will install the suspension and shock within the next week or two. The reason for not updating is because i did not receive the item until 2 months later.

About the seller, Just suspension: I did not receive the item from seller until the ending of November. It took almost 2 months for me to get the suspension and shock from Just suspension. I had to open a dispute with paypal. Also, the seller never reply to any e-mail. I would not buy from the seller again.

That's pretty crappy luck. At least you got them in the end. Were they at least in good condition?

They ship it using the same box they get from the manufacture. No additional box or padding at additional box. The box with the strut bend up and some cosmetic damage to strut.

WoW-that is bad. Lets hope they can get it resolved. And thanks for the update as I was considering ordering from them and definitely will not now.

Ordered the struts and shocks on last Friday and got them on Monday. Very happy except for the white color. Will consider spray painting them black.

Ordered the strut bearing, bumper, and other parts from Infinitipartsusa.com and was told the spacer is a special order item and they will not have them shipped until after 12/21. Seems like I will not have my car ready for the white-xmas.

Now I am debating if I should change the stabilizer connecting rods ($35.35 X 2). I have seen ppl online recommended to have them replaced while I am doing strut replacement. Called infinitipartsusa and the guy said if it ain't broken, it does not need to be replaced. My truck has 100k on it, mostly city/highway drive. only twice off-roaded in death valley. No abnormal noise from the front. Only reason changing the struts is when it is going over 50mph on the freeway and any slight imperfection on the road got magnified on the steeling wheel. Very bad when the road is curving left. It feels like the truck is skipping and still wants to go straight. Scary feeling.

What do you guys think, stabilizer connecting rod or no rod?

By the way, infinitipartsusa's CSR are lazy and not very helpful but the price is right. Go with them only if you know what you are doing.

Umm...did anyone notice that the ebay seller and the amazon seller are the same?

Also, did you guys purchase your mounting kits from KYB directly?

don't buy KYB strut mounts. they're garbage and will fail very prematurely. buy OEM.

I had some similar steering issues and replaced the ball joints. The left one was completely shot, but while I was at it, replaced the right one too (QX4 with 216,000 miles on it). That fixed it. With the 'pulling left' problwm, you might want to look at wheel bearing, too.
