sport compact car or turbo or some magazine did a write up on how to improve the strength of your transmission, like grinding the edges off the teeth, cyro treating, and using shockproof redline transmission fluid, and welding weak spots in the housing...

all those mentioned would help hold that transmission together, i dont know too much about the all wheel drive transmission or what type of power it can hold but i would think it is just as durable as the rwd ka trannys. Good luck

for a stronger 4x4 setup you might want to research into the differences between the KA and VG30 transfer cases, if they're the same then its probably really strong. If they are different maybe you can swap some parts from a VG30 truck.

I wish i knew more about this, as i'd like to someday do a turbo nissan truck. or a KA-T powered jeep.

I heard that once they get hot they blow there seal really easily and ive noticed when i beat it it leaks some fluid. could it just be from over revving the transmission

I've never been able to rev a transmission, much less over rev one.

bbaaahh, just put a RB26 in it with the RB25 transmission, and put an atlas2 transfercase with some sick off road gears, carbon driveshafts and some big HKS turbos........ =)

actually as engine rpm goes up, transmission rpm goes up too, therefore if i raised my engine redline the transmission would spin faster and creat more heat

Rev= Revolutions, as in revolving = "spinning" LOL

Well if it means anything at all the 300ZX (has VG30) differential (and some 240SX) has held 600hp fine...sooo ya.
