Just curious what alot of you guys do to strengthen the chasis on your Verts. Right now mines all stock but im putting my 502whp SR into it and dont want it to get destroyed.

Well from the factory, the verts have more bracing than the coupes or the hatches. Things like fender braces assorted braces around the frame, rear tower support etc. were added because of the lack of a roof. Not saying that they are more rigid than a coupe or hatch, but they have factory bracing that those dont have. IMO you should be fine if your just driving around and having some fun. If you want to add more, you could do strut bar, maybe some stronger fender braces (the factory ones are kinda wimpy ) and then theres the whole roll-cage roll bar thing. I personally wouldn't do a cage but from what people have said it makes a world of a difference....

Hope it helps a bit, good luck man

No problem dude. You should be fine if you're just running around having fun in it. are you going to make a build thread?

I can but it really wont be much of a build thread. Just swapping whats in my S13 Coupe and putting it in the Vert. Pretty much my whole SR setup, coilovers, and rear subframe.

I'd get a front strut bar and possibly a nismo chassis power brace up front. The rears are beefed up on the verts, but the front end not so much.

With both those you should be good to go.

I'm curious, how is the rear beefed up on the vert? Seems the same to the coupe I had.

There's a pic floating around somewhere that shows everything, but from what I remember:

- lift up the rear seats - there's a whole lotta metal welded similar to having a cross brace that the coupe doesn't have- there is metal going across rear strut tower (like a welded in rollbar of sorts) that the coupe doesn't have- the frame rail below is also reinforced more than the coupe/hatches

That being said, a roll bar will tie up the rear nicely - but since the car is only a daily driver, I wouldn't recommend it all that much.
