strong gas smell, 1st gear acceleration

like the title says, i have a strong gas smell when i'm accelerating from a stop. doesn't matter how hard i'm doing it either. the car shifts at 3k and the smell is very strong (have to vent the interior with my sunroof). gas mileage has gone down a bit too. i'm guessing leaky fuel line, fuel rails, injectors, but i really don't know. any thoughts on what to look for?

Tighten all the screws on all gas lines, under the hood and to the fuel pump in the trunk!

As the car ages, screws are known to come loose.

well, i kinda had a similar experience before.
Few days after I replaced the fuel filter i could smell fresh gas in my cabin.
the car was running fine.
so i tightened the filter screws and...voila!

if anything else, i would look for areas that look like it has been wet/soak/stain around the fuel tubings; touch and smell to double check.
