Stripping Paint on Wheels?

Hey guys... picked up a set of used 300ZX wheels to use for drift practice, but they look super-cheesy because the previous owner painted them some "sunshine yellow" or something. Anyhow, I was thinking of stripping the paint off of them and repainting them a simple silver or something. I don't want to paint over them because when they chip, yellow will show through. I was wondring if anyone knows any good chemicals, special removers, etc. that I can use to get to the bare metal. I don't want to have a wheel or body shop take the paint off (save $$) and I want to do the strip/repaint myself (gratification). Any ideas?

I can but that would take a long time (especially to do all 4 wheels). I was hoping something along the lines of some heavy duty paint thinner or something.

Prot Stripper from lowes. comes in areosol and liquid. stuff is nasty. u spray a lil on u and it burns well tingles a whole lot. i used it to take off my tint works like a chram. also go most of the Nsport logo off my intercooler with it

Airplane stipper. They sell some at Walmart. Just spray on. Let it sit, then wash off with water hose. You have to take the wheels off and do it one by one but it's the easiets way to take off paint from metal.

this stuff works wonders. It will strip the paint off in like 5 min. Its so acidic, my friends and I once sprayed it on a rat, and it "stripped" the skin off the rat. so ya it will take the yellow paint off your rims
