First off hello everyone this is my first post as i just bought my 84 300zx turbo. This is my second 300zx, i had a 90 non turbo, but had to sell it because of money issues. Now i decided to go with a cheaper forced induction early model, so i got the 84 turbo.

i was wondering, from personal experience and general sort of stuff what should i look out for? in terms of common problems in these models. The car has ~100k on it.

Also i want to get the weight down as low as possible, does anyone have a chart or list of the weights of interior pieces? And maybe even a price guide for selling them to others who need them. Im not trying to make a ton of money off them, just get a fair price and hopefully help some else out.

Im willing to strip down to door skins and metal floor panels, no carpet, sound deadening crap, power windows/locks. and maybe even the dash.

Thanks in advance for any info.

The worst problem is the timing belt. If that breaks your motors toast.

And why do you want to strip the interior? Unless your building a race car theres no real reason to do it. You may save one or two hundred pounds but thats not going to make the car feel much faster. It you do strip it put everthing in a box and keep it. That way you can put it back in later
