Well I am going to strip down my 240 because the 16 year old paint job is faded enough. I want to go down to the metal and then fix the rust. What chemicals/ what processes should i use to do this. I have a quarter panel on the drivers side that an upset brother did how would i go about getting this out?

to pull the QP go by a stud gun-don't use the cheap ones they have at autozone that you drill. weld the studs onto the QP with the stud gun and get 2 pull hammer thingys. a 3-4lb and a 7 pound should work well.to strip it go buy some airplane striping from your local auto store just ask them and they should know what your asking for.

You will need to use bondo even after you use the stud gun hammer thingy but they do i good job to get most of it.

You also dont need to strip the whole car to bear metal, you just have to make sure there is no shine left on it and only take the car down to bear metal where there is like a scratch or dent and apply the bondo

Your better off sanding it than using chemicals too, use a DA sander and some 220 to remove the shine then you can go over it all quick with like 600 or w/e. Use a flat hand block with 80 on it to sand bondo at first so it doesnt take you forever to get it smooth, unless your good at applying it

stripping the entire car is not the best idea... priming and painting the car from bare metal will be very difficult... the factory primer is a great foundation for another paint job... as for the dent if there is no crease try one of the plunger type dent pullers that will get it out if there is not a crease
