What type of tap/die do I need to repair these, I will like to use stock screws if possible. I overtight 2 of them (1 pound extra) because a faulty torque wrench. I had never performed this on any car so any help will be greatly apreciatted

Well, I tried a risky move one time when i stripped the screw that lets the air out of the radiator. I busted out my drill, drilled right down the center so i could get a small pick inside and manually un-screw it. But, be warned because drillin a screw is dangerous because you can risk messing up the threading, and then you're really screwed. I would use the drilling option as a last resort. Other than that, thats the only advice I can give you. Good luck.

Maybe I did not make myself clear

I stripped the threads for the valve cover, my screws (some of them) are just sitting there.

that happened to me toooooo damn what are the odds .. anyway i was told to get this tap/die/rethreading kit forgot the name now but was suppose to drill the old threads out and thread in new stainless steel threads but my valve cover isn't leaking that much oil so i'm leaving it for later. is that bad??

No its not bad

Your 2 options1st - like racin-type posted dril it out then tap it, put in a stainless sleave if you will that has treads on the outside and insides, so you can put in the old bolt into it

2nd - weld the hole, drile out just a enough that the tap dosent have to cut to much out, then tap that hole.

or just tap it and get a bolt that fits
