I wanted to flush the coolant today, but it the plastic plug is stripped to hell (was like that when I got it). It's just a round hole where it looks like you should have been able to use a screwdriver to remove it.

Any suggestions on how to get the plug out? Is there an aftermarket replacement part for the plug that's less prone to stripping?

Thx.

Vice-Grips ftw

just clamp the **** out of the plug with vice grips, and turn the plug off (lefty loosey, righty tighty) and go down to your local auto store and pick up a replacement plug for nickels and dimes; as far as I know, there is no aftermarket plugs that come to mind. good luck man

I used an M12 oil pan bolt with an o-ring when they were out of stock of the plastic crappy radiator ones. Seems like a good solution as long as you don't overtighten it and strip out the radiator.
