Hey guys. This is my first post here. I just got a new KA24DE put into my first 240sx. Note I am 17 and a huge car enthusiast. This was my first 240sx it's a 1991 Super Hicus. I bought it not running and when I got it to run it had a bad rod knock. So I was able to buy another motor from a local guy that just pulled a s14 KA from his car. I've been working on this for almost 2 months now and yesterday I finally finished it and got it to start. It started up very easily but there's one issue. The front left bolt on the oil pan(The once more toward the center not on the corner) was stripped. We tried to tap it to a M8 sized bolt but we couldn't get it to thread on the aluminum housing. So we just threw the screw up in there with some jb weld hoping it would hold which obviously it didn't. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this without having to take about the whole aluminum housing and oil pump? Anyone else ever have an issue like this?

Helicoil will be your best bet.

They make them that small? Where can I get them? I've gotten them at orielys for my sparkplugs but I've never knew they made them that small.

I've helicoiled an M6 bolt before. The kit I picked up was at Advance Auto and it came with the tap and helicoils.

Should I get a M8 sized then? Since I already tried to tap it?

I'm honestly really confused as to which sized and kit I need. Do I need a thread repair kit or like a metric thread tap? I've used one of the spark plug inserts but is there something like that for this size?
