stripped oil filter threads

ok so once again another small problem thats pissing me off..

i have an sr20det and the oil filter is not screwing on! i got an OEM filter from the dealership and the part number is #15208 - 53J0A, and im positive this is the right filter, i just the the tip of the threads on my block are a little dull, and im not sure what to use to re thread it? maybe helicoil?

umm replace the whole spindle you CAN NOT rethread filter spindles with out having problems later on

A helicoil is for rethreading a hole. You need a new oil filter mounting block. You can buy them, maybe even get one off a SR20DE in a junk yard. Try some of the sponsors, moving to SR.

this is an s14 sr btw, i was just told they take different filters? so i guess i found out the problem

it takes a FRAM part number PH6607

those are the numbers i have at work cross reference that to the correct filter
