Yeah. Go me.

Didn't even know it at the time. After changing my HG and putting it all back together, I started it up and it's shooting oil out the side of the block. Oops, did I forgot to tighten it down? Maybe I just put it in by hand?

So I get down there and it's loose. Just kept spinning though. Don't know how I stripped it the first time without knowing..

So what now?

Should I circumsize the bolt? Plug it and get a sandwich plate and run a line from my oil filter?Heli-coil?

I already tried the JB weld trick. For those of you that know it it didn't work because the bolt bottoms out and then I can't get the banjo tight enough to not leak. If you don't know, don't worry about it lol.

Oh this totally blows.

I would heli-coil it.

I would tap it one size up, stick a metric to AN fitting on there and use braided lines.

I had the same problem as you did except I know I stripped my thread by overtightening while having the bolt going in at the wrong angle.

I have heard that heli-coil backs out and that's not good. Time-sert is an improvement over those. I have a M12 x 1.25 Time-Sert kit for sale that's compatible with an SR20DET oil feed thread with 4 inserts. $85 plus shipping?

I bought it from here

I did the same exact thing...after I finished my build this was the last thing that was holding me up. The stock oil feed bolt is actually really small and there are still a lot of good threads deeper in the feed hole in the side of the block. I made a custom oil feed bolt out of a wheel stud. Yes a wheel stud may sound crazy but it works awesome. I got a 240 wheelstud and drilled it out on a drill press and the tack welded a bolt on the end so i could tighten it up. Let me know if you would like one i could make it for you and send it to you if you would like. GL Bro
