Hello everyone I haven't been here for awhile but I return to you now now in dire straights.

I am putting together my stroked SR build and everything was going well. Got the head on last night and was just tightening the cam caps and the least bolt, the bolt for the cam oil banjo bolt thing stripped on me.

I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions are welcome. I'm obviously don't want to pull the head off again if I can help. I also know the a helicoil job can cause quite a mess which isn't such a big deal if you careful, but with this bolt it may be different I can drill into a oil galley right?

I'm lost someone please help me.

I think helicoil is going to be your only option. Just take your time and be sure to drill STRAIGHT.

If you feel uncomfortable doing a helicoil, you should take it to machine shop and let them do it. At least with the head off, it can be flushed of any metal shavings that are going to fall back into the oil galleys when the drill goes in.
