I miss watching baseball, especially when you see a former pitcher who is now a center fielder turn what most likely would have been a sac fly and turn it into a "Oh crap, he caught the ball, I'm staying at third" moment.

Talk about a frozen rope...

EDIT. Guess YouTube doesn't like me.

So whats the deal? The guy was a terrible pitcher but can hurl the ball with accuracy from afar?

Reminds me of the throws that Dwight Evans of the Red Sox used to make decades ago ... runners routinely stopped at 3rd base instead of trying for home.

I heard he just lost it one day. He simply couldnt hit the strike zone anymore. They sent him back to the minors, and he still couldnt get it going. So they moved him to the outfield and he worked his way back to the majors.

First time I ever heard of this, but apparently it's not that uncommon for a pitcher to hit a dead end.

Reminds me of Bonds in his prime and Kenny Lofton. Both had some freakin' cannons.
