Hello, i have a set of Enkei Racing S wheels 17x8 and 17x7.5 the tires that came on them were 235/40/17 and 215/25/17 im pretty happy with them exept they are slicks (thanks rbmotoring) my neighbor is a big drift guy he said i should stretch the tire with like a 215 on the rear and a 205 up front, i can see the concept of stretching tires and it seems good but im not setting my car up for drift, more freeway and autox driving what wpould be a good tire size set up for freeway/ auto x.

thanks

Haha yeah the fronts are 215/45/17, the rear profile height is a little to low for me, if i ran 235/45/17 would that make the sidewall bubble alot over the 235/40?

thanks

trying to stretch a tire onto a narrow rim like that is pointless, go with chet's suggestion. tell your neibhor that i called him a poser, anyone who would suggest that setup probably blows at drifting.

Hes the owner of Grip video if you have heard of that. I wouldnt call him a poser but i agree with you on stretching a tire on a 8 inch wide wheel.
