am i blind or are there NO strengthened 2.0L SR cranks out there. all the ones i find are for stroker kits. is the stock one good enough? im building the SR as a drift car so i'd like it to be able to withstand lots and lots of damage. thanks in advance guys.

There isn't really a need for one. The stock crank is fully balanced, just make sure you get your rotating assembly balanced for your engine build

Well u could get it cryogenically treated. Its like $50 and it adds anywhere from 30-50% more strength. I know a lot of the Subaru guys do it on their transmissions because they are notorious for being week. But unless ur gonna be running some crazy HP numbers, theirs no point. Stock crank is iron, its balanced, and is capable of handling some plenty of abuse.

Hey there, Tomei make a standard stroke crank (its not on their website, but it is on www.frsport.com) and a new Australian engine component brand www.nitto.com.au also lists a standard stroke crank.

That's pretty awesome, Andre. Is Nitto the same as the tire company? The logo on the site looks like it, but I've never known them to dabble in engine components.

Yeah I wondered the same thing, but probably not. I don't know much about them, but I bet they do the same as Brian Crower (and others), which is to source and label parts from different manufacturers.
