hey im planning on starting a street / track 240 soon with a ka24de powerplant. Im not look for outrageous amounts of hp or torque but something that will put a smile on my face from ear to ear. I know there have been a million posts like this but fear not im not a 16 year old kid who got a account today and wants 600hp on a n/a ka :). Well i've heard that the stock internals are good but what are the numbers on the limits? also my thinking is i wanna get my block worked on at a machine shop, get my crank resurfaced and have my head reground. for performance im thinking of getting some good cams, valvesprings, valves, possibly pistons and i/h/e. well i was wondering of what u guys think or if you could give me some good pointers. thanks also i dont really want to make a straight up 1/4 mile car more of an all around trackable/ streetable (as in street legal in CA.) well thanks ahead of time :)

there are guys running KA-Ts on over 400 on stock internals. it just takes tuning. as far as streetable stuff, the KA wont really be good for more than 220hp. this should be plenty if you just want a fun NA car with a good torque number. but the KA isnt too great with bolt ons or even lots of work unless you go all out. the KAs in the Frontier off-road trucks make around 298hp and 260 ft/lbs, but i dont know how street able they are.

hahaha, ok ok. lets just say on nitrous, 300hp is enough for the stockies. so anything around 250 or so will be fine.
