Well....i just went out to the street races last night for the first time since i went to court (if i get caught out there again in my car Ill be screwed!) but i rode with my friend & we saw some great races.....

1)A 350Z with Turbo, Nitrous..full body kit, and carbon fiber hood VS a Integra with a fully built GSR motor (absolutely nothing more can be done to it other than a turbo) with Nitrous, running on drag slicks............Well the 350 won the first race by a car length. That car look so dam fast it wasnt even funny! The guy in the integra claimed he ran with his e-brake on accident!:pface lol....so they went again and the 350 still walked him....but then he was saying he ran out of spray....either way it was still a good race but ur winner is obviously....the 350Z!

2)The other big race out there was a Nissan 240SX S14 with an SR20 upgraded turbo, infinity rearend VS an Acura CL with a built up H22 NA with around 345 Horsepower to the flywheel, automatic!! Well it was a good race but the CL won by a little less than a car length both times they raced. SO ur winner....Acura CL.

Sorry i dont have better specs on the cars...(word of mouth), and there were alot more races but they were pretty basic stuff which you probably wouldnt wanna hear about....but now it sucks cuz now im wanting to go out there again next weekend but I dont wanna lose my liscence if we get blocked in again! It was interesting none the less....

Hey, is there a local dragstrip open on the weekends for you guys? Or is that not cool? Or did they shut down the drag strips on the weekends so kids have nowhere to go but the street??

I've been reading a lot of media hype about different cities backing programs to keep kids off of public streets, and other counties just straight taking a hatchet to such programs, leaving kids no option but to race on the streets.. what say you?

Well, we have a strip we can go to but its only ONCE a month! plus they dont give you time-slips and they have runs started from a traffic light setup other than tree-light. Also....if its any better any streetraces i got to are on empty traffic-less roads. I know street racing isnt very safe and i havent been if forever...but i decided to ride out with my friend to see those races i mentioned cuz some of them are people i know. We rode out after that because we all went to court for that a while back and got dis-missed...but warned to not be caught out there again. I dunno...bad habits die hard i guess

What's "gay" is breaking the law and then blaming someone for doing their job.

Be careful out there, N4B240! :)

I hope all you street racers get your cars impounded and your licenses cut up. Keep it on the track.

I actually didnt break the law I never sped but 5mph over and stayed in the correct lane, just happened to have someone in the lane next to me :D

and ya it is gay when people are able to get off going 100mph down busy roads (have dumbass friends that do this) and either get really weak speeding tickets or just get off with nothing and i repeat that is gay

oh and how was anybodys job done in his case. they are spraying nitrous and having big get togethers with the only purpose to race. they got dismissed and warned.

EDIT: and where do you get the impression i blamed anyone but myself. ive never done anything illegal on the road (other than my engine) before or since my ticket.

I was referring to this statement.

How exactly is it a cop's fault a ticket gets dismissed? And why hate all cops because you got busted for something but someone else didn't?

You think it's "gay" that I get away with running triple digits almost daily on the freeway and get away with it?

My car is perfectly and immaculately mechanically maintained, has tires, wheels brakes and suspension that are WAY beyond what's necessary, TONS of professional driving instruction, and 20 years of accident-free experience. I drive smart and I drive hard - I'm well aware of my surroundings, and I don't do stupid things. Perhaps that's why I can do so daily and never attract attention.

Learn the lesson, absorb the wisdom, and change the behavior.

Ok maybe I didn't articulate what I was thinking well enough. I have been with friends doing 100 down busy roads (scared the crap outta me) and they might get a weak ticket here or there or nothing at all and thats why they still do it. It does anger me that I would do something minute and get busted for it and have to go to court. You're right, maybe it is gay that I don't like cops for something so stupid but how can you get on me for for saying that but you you just tell Nismo4Banger240 to be careful and not say anything about his illegal activities? I guess I feel like a target of the moderator.

Yes it does also anger me that you can get away with doing triple digits and I get pulled over in the middle of the night out in the country going 5 over just b/c I am side by side with someone. Obviously if you can break the law daily there are police not doing their job. You may think you get away with it b/c you have a perfect car and are omnipotent but the truth is you don't get tickets b/c there is no one there to give them to you.

Hitman is right. It is wrong to hate cops because they are doing their job.

It is not wrong to hate and say FUC* YOU to the judicial system (cops being law-enforcemnt not judicial, tho cops are guilty of this too) that will allow two very similar crimes receive unequal punishment.

you call that a knife?

oh wait, **** wrong thread....

street racing is a quilty pleasure for all I think, though I don't condone it, I always switch to idiot mode when I pull up beside a riced camaro or a third gen camaro (Fox body mustangs are a no no, people actually work on those sometimes:D). I try to be safe as possible, even though I got bit by stupid and felt like trying to bury the speedo in 3rd gear last night (can't quite get there, almost...)

just be safe damnit!

Police can't have they're eyes glued to everything all of the time you know. They arent god. The police do a lot more than you think, and just because they can't bust a guy who speeds everyday, it doesnt mean they arent doing their job. In my area the police do an awesome job for the amount of funding they recieve.

Man...i just woke up and relized my thread sparked all this controversy! lol...well I admit that streetracing is bad....we had a guy wrap his 3000GT around a poll and die down here a long time ago....and i actually saw a guy take his Nicely hooked up saturn into a curb at over 100+ mph....he was ok, but the car was toast. When i went to court it made me relize how stupid it actually was and i dont even know why i was out there Sat night....what makes it worse are these guys that go out there for the purpose of being punks, cutting in and out of traffic on the interstate, burning out thru the gas station parking-lots and drinking while they are out there. I dont think ill be going out there again anytime soon ...BTW...the only reason we all got dis-missed was because the new legislation hasnt passed in FL where all particapants (including spectators) automatically lose thier liscense w/ fines, and possibly a few nights in jail. We were lucky.....so i dont really recomend ppl go out and streetrace, but if you do and you get busted just suck it up and take it like a man. You do the crime you do the time...if i got busted im not gonna crab about the cops because i was in the wrong. Anyways...sorry for the rant (if this even is a rant)lol...but thats just my 2 cents, for what its worth

:)

back to bed for me...ill see what anybody had to say later today:D
