Well tonight i went down to the "dirt track" to catch the school bus demo derby , took my dad grandmother and little bro with me , after the demo derby (kicked ***) we got some kickass mexican food and headed home in the rain on i275 ....

I knew tonight the stupid mother ****ers would be out (1 am on saturday night) so im playing it safe running at the speedlimit and watching the rear view mirrors , i spot a 1991 accord coupe closeing in fast with a 99-02 mazda pickup and a 1993 accord 4 door on "dubs" in close pursiut , they all blow by me in the right hand lane at around 100mph , the 91 accord proceeds down a exit ramp , he wasnt paying attention and almost clips a nissan altima (99-02) , he braked heavy to aviod it and lost controll of the accord , it fishtails as the pavement is fairly slick from the storm and his very excessive speed , he hits the guardrail hard , knocking off the right front wheel and slides across the interstate almost into my path if it hadnt of been for some gentle brakeing and steering on my part(still got ABS activation) .his other two stupid freinds leave his *** for dead. after i get around this moron in the 91 accord and a toyta rav4 that had to spin himself to keep from hitting the sonofa*****. i pulled up to a trooper 1/4 mi down the road on another exit ramp and told to cop to go get the kid some medical attention and to take his liscnese .

at any rate the moron got his wake up call , he almost costed me my life and not to mention my fathers and little brother's , were all lucky i was watching him waiting for him to **** up and driveing a car with excelent braking and decent handleing (glad i got my sway bar back in)

anyway to you kids that do this street racing stuff , go join SCCA and keep it on the track and off the sane peoples streets , im not going to be near as nice next time peices of your car land on mine (i hope that chunk of plastic didnt scratch my car )

Good to know Gladis' brakes work :) Kids are stupid. I am 17, so, kind of a kid, but I am more responsible and smart than to do crap like that. I hope they get what they deserve.

Repoman, Simmsled and I were down in Greenwood Indiana tonight. We saw a guy on a crotchrocket pop a wheelie and nearly flip over with this girlfriend on the back of the bike!

about 20 some crotch rockets were doin 140+ EASY blowin past us tonite and we werent crawlin either....and 1/4 of em had chicks on the back of the bikes, ....i could never justify the risk of putting a person i cared about in that kind of danger.... i think its the dumbest and most careless/selfless thing u could do...just like guys that race with passengers, ESPECIALLY their girlfriends or chick friends..since most of them arent aware of the actual risk involved.... those guys piss me off:mad:

Bikes are nuts. I want one for when I go to college to save gas and not put the miles on the 240, though. Easy to park, fun to ride. No crazy stuff for me on one of those things though.

I hang out with a bunch of guys who occassionally do that sort of thing. It's not exactly good practice, nor do I condone it, but there's a lot of morons who do it.

I guess to each his own...personally I avoid it. :)

Why do you think I own one:D Honestly, the idea of picking up chicks on a bike is kinda bogus, unless you roll around with a spare helmet...and people don't do that. I just like to see the looks on the faces of Mr. Young Tough Guy in his car when his girlie is smiling and undoubtedly telling him how cool bikes are. "sweety, why don't YOU have a bike?"

I'd never risk a girl's life with such high speeds though. Just plain foolish. People always talk about how deadly bikes are, when many times it's the hotshot kid trying to show off that crashes. Bikes are a tool to teach us self-discipline.

Act foolish = die.

I thought for sure I was going to be out on the road administering first aid to that chick that almost flipped off the bike. Trying to keep her from going into shock, stopping the ooze of grey matter from her gourd, you know, basic stuff. Not to mention the incredible road rash she would have endured. Somehow they made it back down on two wheels. Stupid basturd.

I got blown into the weeds on my way home by a couple bikes. One shifted as he passed me and just sounded wicked as hell. The chick on the back of that one had her thong hanging out, which was a nice view for me! LOL. The road we were on is deer and raccoon central though, so going fast late at night there is NOT a good idea, especially on a bike. Of course none of them bothered with helmets.

The "no helmet" states are promoting a subtle version of population control. Perfect!

I can't wait till I get a real bike, of course I probably have more fun on the 250cc in the dirt doing real stupid ****, but dirt and nature are a little more forgiving.

I rarely drive fast on the roads unless they are pretty open and its a highway, and after my little 180 in the rain that landed me in the bushes of my neighborhood Ekards ( paniced and over compensated after the back end started to slide a little) , i drive very slow in the rain and very causious.

:Werd I don't like driving in the rain either... First week i had my car... the transition between a FWD and RWD .. wasn't very liking... It rained the entire week... one time i was driving in someones neighborhood and its was raining... and was doing bout 30 or so around a moderate turn.... and the back end got loose..i didn't know what to do... my car spun 180 into the other side of the road... i ended up facing uncoming traffic.. :( so now i am very careful.

In rain, tires make a big difference. I used to have Michelin XGTV tires on my Q45 and it was the worst wet weather that I have ever had the misfortune to own. I became a "white knuckle" driver in rain! A number of silly sliding experiences, even when going fairly slowly. Heck, even slightly overzealous starting from a stop would be cause for wheel slippage!

Then I got Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP tires! What a world of a difference. These tires feel like they grip in wet weather better than others on dry pavement!

I am super pleased at the dramatic improvement! :)

I dunno about where you live, but here in PA you are required to wear a DOT approved helmet. Too bad DOT doesnt approve helmets anymore. So you have to.. source.. a sticker.

population control and an IQ test.
