absolutely its one thing to hurt yourself its totally another to hurt or kill people who have no idea your comingPurpleDuck236 wrote:well at a track its very unlikly you are going to kill someone else but when u street race those chances go through the roof.

cuz if so, i know who that is
Of course there isn't guaranteed safety in drag-racing, but certain factors are more controlled than in street racing..PantherRacer wrote:gee...but it isn't like you're foolproof at the track. Just Sunday a civic h/b hit a dip in the dragstrip while at full boost and ran off the track and flipped a couple of times ...it was totalled , but the driver got away with only a broken foot. That happened to a green chevy (I believe it was a chevy) before too. I think they need to make the track wider or give us the old airport lol
I guess you need to take certain precautions but not so much that you suck the fun out of it.
I've always had that thought... that cars should be put into categories. and some kind of class should be given to the drivers in addition to getting a drivers license ... especially to young drivers w/ sporty cars and lets not forget SUV drivers..GEO wrote:haha, there should be a special license you need to obtain to drive a sports coupe or sedan with 240HP or more.

You said it man. This has always been a very firm belief of mine.HashiriyaGDB wrote:I wouldn't say that people should have a special license, I think that EVERYONE just needs better driver training.
