ok just wanted to know if the greddy street legal turbo is only for the 96-98 240sx. will the turbo kit fit in a 91 240sx? if i does will it still pass smog like it does in the 96-98 240sx? just wanted to know why it's only for those years i though the ka24de was the same all the way through 91-98 years. please correct me if im wrong.

i wondered the same thing, and a call to GReddy informed me that they 95 and up 240's have more space in the engine bay and that trying to bolt on the kit to an s-13 would pose piping problems. i guess the i/c wouldnt fit right or something. also they GReddy kit comes with the GReddy E-Manage preset for the s-14's OBD2 ecu and electronics. i know it pisses me off too that no major company can make a kit for the s-13 ka24.

learn how to fabricate. a littlle tubing and a few more silicon boots and clamps and your intercooler and exhaust are hooked up.

It has nothing to do with clearance. It is easier for them to get OBDII compliance. If enough people shout loud enough, they might do one for the S-13, but right now, there aren't enough people interested in a legal S-13 and are calling Greddy. Right now its all about the SR20 swap and in Cali there is nothing that will make that legal.

My personal opinion is that Greddy is doing this kit just to appease the masses and get their name on the newest push in the rice movement. They could care less if the kit is well made or even works efficiently. Talking to them is like speaking at a brick wall. They are horrible when it comes to information.

It should throw a code if you put the kit in an OBDI car. IC Piping? That's funny, because FMIC is a separate option :( Anyway, is it even smog legal yet? Last I heard, it was still pending. Usually with Greddy, if it's smog legal, it's also CARB legal.

It's still pending. seriously, just like all their stuff.

And it will fit a S13, but you have to remove your AIV to get the clearance to work at all. The fitment issues between s13 and s14 when it comes to exhaust are negligable anyway, so there wont be any real serious issues.

We were talking about the legality, not whether or not it would physically fit. 96-98 means 96-98
