Street legal turbo kits

i was on the greddy site and it says that the greddy bolt on kit for the KA is not street legal. do they just say that because it isnt 50 state legal? Other than emissions why else wouldnt it be street legal? Are there any kits for the KA that are "street legal"? I also have another question. How much boost can the stock KA handle?

for the boost just search dont go over 350 hp with a good tune and your fine and i dont think there is a single street legal turbo kit for the ka. but many have them and a local smog emissions place really dont give a **** most times like here in az

last time i checked the greddy kit was legal so long as you dont run the intercooler witch is available for extra. i believe the emanage tune that comes with the greddy kit was tuned to pass emissions.

is that 350 at the wheels or at the crank??? how would i achieve 350 with the greddy kit and intercooler??? would i have to up the injecters and add a boost controller and up the boost???

The greddy kit was originally designed to be 50-state street legal, but could not pass the SMOG certification for Cali. This was also the cause for the delay in release of the kit, since they were trying to get it certified. The directions that came with my kit state that it is for off road use only. I believe that it may also say that on the greddy web page, under the directions posted there.

Washington law: As long as you pass immisions its a legal road car.

And its 350whp.
