I recently became a guinea pig to see if the street faction power brace and whiteline sway bar would fit my s13. Unfortunately I ran into an issue with fitment.

Now that street faction offers a DIY kit for the brace, if you plan to run sway bars like whitelines (my personal favorite) then you are in luck.

Before SFE offered the brace in a DIY kit, I ordered their brace and whitelines sway bar. Simple enough, figured since the cross bar was closer forward I should be able to run it. And want a better sway bar for my RB swap to clear.

Uncoordinated stream of consciousness babble. And no pictures as promised.

When both the power brace and sway bar are installed, the sway bar contacts the part of the brace.

In the image, marked where the edge of the brace contacts the sway bar, giving a better idea of where to modify and angle the modified bracket to replace street factions bracket.

Once the mock-up brackets were made, the brace was cut and grounded down smooth to better test fitment of the new brackets and modify them any more if needed.

After all modifications have been made, the new brackets were welded up and later the brace was powder coated. Now both the SFE power brace and whiteline front sway bar clear perfectly.
