Alright, I want this to be done right. Just purchased a 240sx SE KA-DE. 5 Speed. I want to start it off with the proper oil's. The engine will be subjected to harsher driving conditions (Higher Accelerations). As I go online to the manual, I read as it is recommended a 5w-30 engine, API GL-4*2 for the transmission, APIGL-5*2 for the diff. I have always used Castrol GTX in a DSM however im half and half on it... What are your suggestions for a strong oil? Paying a bit more is not a problem, I want it to hold up.

thankyou for any help,

Redline, Royal Purple, or Lucas for diff and gearbox. Redline or Royal Purple ($7-8 a qt) if you want to spend a ton on engine oil, or Mobil 1 ($20something for a jug at Walmart) if you want to spend less.

I use mobile 1 ultimate in my Kade, about the same price as royal purple, virtually no breakdown, I used a mixture of royal purple in the trans, i think it was 2 quarts of 75w90 and a quart of 75w140 and love it. I used redline in my lsd and have never had a grind or and binding at all.

So it looks like around a ~ 75w106 after mixing... any others with a suggestion for the M/T? viscosity rating?
