i'm looking for a set of coilovers for my 95 240, its my daily driver, so i don't what a high spring rate(10/8). my goal with this car is to take turns fast and the car must feel balance. these are some of the coilovers that i'm looking at TEIN Super Street, Tanabe Sustec Pro SS Type II, KTS coilovers, JIC FLT-A1US if anyone has used any of these coilovers can you leave my a short review, also if there is another coilover that will suit my driving, leave a commnet.

You do realize that the Tein Super Street's rate are 10kg/8kg?

Some coilovers to look atGP Sports G-MasterSilk Road RM's...very nice stuff. Megan Racing Street's

I also think the JIC Flt A1's would be a great choice. I dont have personal experience with them, but I've heard of quite a few guys running them and they've worked well.

I have the JIC FLTA1.

For the $$ is was a good deal for less than $1100 shipped. I like the spring rate, and adjustable dampening and camber plates.

I was sent a blown damper and my car has been on jack stands for a month now while waiting for them to warranty it. I would not recommend JIC since thier customer service is severely lacking. I still do not know when they are going to send me a new damper as I can not get a straight answer.

FLTA1 is not rebuildable, A2 is.

i like my KTS ok for the street. they are a little rough over choppy roads, but livable. tein flex coilovers would be nice with their 6/5 springrate, plus they are preload and height adjustable unlike the superstreets.

I have abused the crap out of my kts and they are still holding up. I took it to a rallycross a few weeks ago (raised the car of course), ran thru "offroading" conditions for 3 laps, drive home like nothing happened... except all the dirt under and around my chassis now.

Holds up really nice for both street & autox - rough roads isn't as fun, but that's w/ any coilover.

Of course, I didn't worry because the rebuild policy (550 from SPL) is so awesome, haha.

they are tough cookies, i've hit numerous potholes hard enough to make my passengers cringe, and they havn't blown out yet. Plus the monthly autocross duty they see. recomended, yes, but maybe see if SPL can order them with 7/5 spring rates

I have the silk roads, personally I think they are a little too stiff for the street. Maybe it's because I live in Iowa and the roads here are are utter and complete sh*t. They are nice coils though, I've put a good amount of miles on them and haven't had any problems. The stiffness doesn't really bother me, but it might bother someone with less intestinal fortitude.

I think they are 10kg/8kg, not 100% sure on that though. Good luck on whatever you buy.

i do and i love them they are basically the same as the apexi n1 ezv's or some ****, they are great and can really take a beating. i used to have tein he's on my car before and if i had it to do over again i would have bought the megans in the first place and saved 400.00 bucks.

KTS coilovers can accept different spring rates. I've talked with SPLPARTS and they cannot order them with different spring rates but, you can buy different ones from Eibach. All you need is a 2.5OD and 8in long spring, atleast for the S14. I plan on buying the KTS's and swapping the spring rates for something alittle bit more tolerable. I think I'm going to go with 6kg/mm front and 4 or 5kg/mm rear instead of the 8/6kg/mm they come with. It should increase the ride comfort a bit yet keep them stiff enough for occasional track/auto-x use.

p.s. i talked to spl about springs a while back, and they only warrant the dampers down to 7/5 springs front/rear. lower than that and you're on your own.

p.p.s. i have a set of 4kg/mm eibach springs i ordered and never used if anyone is considering a 6/4 combo like i was. email me

I LOVE my KTS's. I've been daily driving them for over a year and no complaints. I think I might have blown one of them now but it's to be expected since the curb I hit destroyed two wheels, a tie rod, and my RUCA. They really hold up great.

I'm going to share some KTS love also. I've had mine since september and the car has been nothing but well behaved on the roads. Pittsburgh roads arent the best and although the sprign rates are harsher than stock, the suspension is very composed over rough roads and will not bounce or shimmy.

I'm running Tein Flexes and I believe they are perfect for street usage. They are very comfy for daily driving and can hold thier own to a certain degree in tight turns. The car feels very stable.
