As my project is sitting in my garage waiting for assembly, parts are rolling in one at a time. I got my rims on the way and I need a little help choosing the wright tires. I got 17"x9.5" wheels all around and I'm gonna get 225/40/ 17's for all four. I want them a little streched , but not crazy steched. My question is which tires would you guys recommend for that streched look???????? I know Toyo T1S are great but they are no longer made so the T1R took over its place and thats one of my choices. Can you guys recomend other makes of tires from experience???

personally, I'd get a 45 sidewall if your gonna run the 225's, 40's too small, and would look even worse with a stretch.... or you can probably go with a 235/40...

and what do you mean about the "stretched look"? You're choosing a tire size that's gonna be stretched, regardless of tire, they're all gonna "look stretched"

whats the offset on the wheels?? I hope you got them low enough or else the fronts wont fit... plus then we know how much stretch you will need to run to make them fit...

my offset is +17 all aroundI know that the 225/40/17 size tires I want will be streched , but my question is what make tires should I get. Some tires have thicher sidwalls and are better for streching.

Federals are pretty beefy (if anything, the beefiest or the beef) as far as sidewalls go. If theres a tire you really need to make room for under your fenders, its those.

well with 225/40 federals, you gonna definitely need to pull the fenders, front especially, even with a decent amount of camber

I wouldnt say thicker sidewalls are better for stretching... they stretch less but are more rigid under stress as that is obvious.

I personally like falkens for stretching, they stretch easy but still function quite well... i use to run them on my old bmw, as well as acouple of my buddies... Tire choice is up to you but just keep in mind, federals dont stretch as well so i'd get a size lower than you want.If you want a 225... id recommend a 215 federal

I have 225/40s on my 9.5s and my next set will be 215/40s

I run 17x9.5 Works XD-9's with Federal 215/40 all around.
