Hey Guys,

Haven't posted here for a while (no problems for a while...sigh)

I notice that when its cold out, my wheels squeak. I've narrowed it out to my rear drums...i've done a lot of research, but I'm still clueless.

It goes squeak-squeak-squeak when I first drive it after I leave it overnight. It gets better as it gets warmer...here's the kicker:Sometimes, when it's warm, it squeaks as well! (only when driving slowly), but then...it goes away sometimes as well!

It just snowed in Ontario, so when I slam on the brakes in the snow and get ABS to go mad, sometimes I can make it stop squeaking all together, but sometimes...it doesn't go away...

Any ideas? I just took it to one of those coin car washers to borrow a high pressure spray and tried to spray down my brakes....didn't really work haha...

Thx!Vincent

Hey Vincent I had the same issue with my rear drums. Every morning when I get in my car to go to work they would squeal. I took the drums off, cleared out all the brake dust, and the squealing went away. If it still persists I've heard that anti-squealing spray works well, maybe someone here can verify this.

Do you set the parking brake when you park? Maybe it isn't coming off as it should.

Wow, I forgot how much I love you guys and this forum, haha!

Yeah, I do set my parking brake (I remember reading they self-adjust, so I had to).

I just tried last night to leave it "off", turns out it didn't squeal this morning.

I will probably do a brake service in April. I'm far too lazy to bring it into service just for a brake job in April (which is when I do my flushes , oil changes etc). I figure it's going to keep snowing, so i'll leave off my parking brakes for now...

Thx guys!
