strange whur sound from s14?

hello group! i need some help, i was dtiving around today normally with the air blowing in from the outside, stop at friends house drop off some boxes and such, about 30 minutes later i turn on the car and the fan is still blowing only this time is whurring from underneath the passenger side dashboard, so i take out the panels and its the "fan unit" i guess, what could be the problem and solution please? thanks!

Spray some WD40 on it...

so u mean take out the unit under the passenger seat, open it up and spray just over the fan itself?

the blower motor under the dash is what he's talking about.

it's probably got some gunk in it, so darkstar suggested spraying it with WD40 to see if that gets it rotating again freely.
