ive been thinking about selling my car for a few months now for a bunch of reasons. For 1 im beginning to think of my car as more femenine than most cars. (girlie) The list is as follows:

1) My engine has a lot of miles and wont last long2) Ive had this car for a year now and spent over $45003) Everything i want to do to it now (swap) seems impractical4) I want to move out and would certainly not have the money to keep up with the 240's wants/needs.

Let me know what you think about this situation, i know this is a 240 enthusiast site and most of you guys would say "don't sell it!" but from my point of view, is it worth it to get a new engine and keep the 240 around, let alone an SR20??

I just dont think that at $9.50/hr + moving out i would be able to get anything like a swap...let alone all the problems that might come up. To tell you the truth im kind of burnt out on the import scene...as too many dumb civic kids destroyed it compared to what it was 5 years ago.

Its sad i know....but oh well.

Lol it's was kinda funny when you said your "240's wants and needs"...Hey if selling it will progress your future then do it...If you think about it it may be holding you back...20 years from now you'll be teaching your kids about cars you'll remember your first car (if yours is)..Trust me it'll be a nice memory you just gotta learn to let things go sometimes...

Dude you got a nice reliable daily driver. I would advise you to KEEP you nice car since you probably won't be able to afford one as nice as what you got.

Keep up with the 240's wants and needs? Stop kidding youself, the car doesn't need it, its jsut toys you wanna put in it.

Keep the car, keep working, maybe a couple of years down the road you will start to make more money and will be able to do what you want to it.

Would you rather look back and say, "damn, why did I ever sell that little car...."

I sold my 93 coupe SE about 3 years ago for the same reason (well not the "girlie" thing, but because I needed money to move out), and even though I just bought another one (92 hatchback SE), I STILL regret getting rid of it. I'll never find a coupe in perfect condition like mine was. your car is REALLY nice, and if you want to buy another later on, by that time they will have all been molested by the rice scene, or just plain f'ucked up. so I say KEEP IT!!

well you know what i mean by wants and needs. Its just my luck that every time i buy something nice for my car something mechanical (that i really need) goes out on it.

By the way, i have about $2000 saved up and i could sell my car for probably $7k (high miles considered) , and then take out a $1000 loan.

If i got another car i would get a 93 Mr2 turbo. But then again, it would only be more of a money pit, plus like i said i want to get out of the racing scene -- too many tickets. I was even thinking about a geo metro just to get me around (there's absolutely no temptation to mod a metro at least!!)

Unless your this guy: (but hey...it doesn't look THAT bad!
