hey, yesterday I saw an accord with s15 lights an just now on this site i saw a project some shop is doing where they are putting an sr20det in a '03 civic si. so i was thinking would it be possible to put a fwd sr20det in a 94-97 accord? this would be much better than the popular h22a swap. thanks for your time.

u can do whatever you want in any car if you want to throw in ludicrous amounts of money and time custom fabricating everything needed. . . sure it's possible. . . but it's not a drop-it-in-and-go type of mod. . .

It fits, but it's custom.

This is the 240SX-SR20DET forum. 240SX's are RWD. Try the Sentra/200SX forum. And please don't do that. Put a T3/T4 H23 in your Accord if you want boost so bad.

Buudweizerr, no need for that. This is a Nissan forum, the SR20 is a Nissan motor. The SR20 wasnt intended for your car as well. Moreso than a Honda, yes, but still how many 89-90 Silvias, 180SXs, or 200SXs came with SR20s?

Rom, like the others said there isnt anything you cant do these days with money. Honestly if you want to do the swap why not get a 240? I can see your lust to take the path less traveled by but there is a ton of money involved in something like this.

If that is the case, just turn the engine around and face the belts/transmission to the other side since its custom mounted anyway.

The SR20 wasn't intended for my car? I beg to differ. The body was designed first in Japan, and was to have the SR20DET. We didn't get it because it would have killed sales of Nissans precious 300ZX. And how many 200SX's had SR20's? Umm, all of them, hence the name 200SX. I'm talking about the EDM 200SX, not the overweight Sentra we have. And only 2 years of Silvia/180SX have CA's in them. As opposed to almost ten years of SR20DET's in them.
