i finished my swap and the car drives great while accelerating but when im trying to keep speed while driving down the high way or something the car feels like i give it gas and let of all the time it goes then stops goes then stops, etc.... but when its floored or accelerating up it is fine. The only thing i can think of is a throttle body problem or my o2 sensor is shot. Any ideas????????? Thanks.

Hmmm.....first thing i'd check is timing and for any boost leaks. It is odd, but it might be due to timing...like most SR problems out there.

my timing was set perfect but it could be off from when tighten down the bolts for the cas(might have moved). I didnt recheck it after tighten them. Ill recheck the timing to see if its still right..

I forgot to ask: do you still use the carbon canister, or did u toss it out? What did you do with the hard line that goes to the gas tank? What fuel pump are you using?

Your TPS sensor is not adjusted correctly. It should feel like it jolts back and forth like you are learning to drive stick, correct? Adjust the TPS by inserting a sewing needle or something similair into the middle wire of the three connecting to the TPS, do not unplug the plug. Turn the key to the second position but do not start the car. Get a voltmeter and ground the black probe to the negative battery terminal and touch the red probe to the needle. It should read 0.5 volts when totally closed and over 4.0 at WOT. You should see it climb as you move the throttle plate open. IF it is not set correctly then loosen the two 7mm bolts holding the TPS and adjust. Let me know if it works.

actually i bet your right on that one. I forgot we didnt set the tps. My sr came with a tps for a auto sr and the plug is different on the wiring harness so i had to get a new tps and never set the damn thing. Now i feel stupid but thanks for reminding me about that.
