Alright my car just barely made it on a 7 hour trip. When I start her up she does the weird cold start thing. But after I warm her up she runs fine boosting no problem for about 2-5 min. After that time all hell breaks lose. She backfires randomly, and wont let me push any boost at all. I had to keep the manifold pressure at -0.2 bar just to keep forward momentum. When I gave it more gas she just bogged down, misfired and backfired. This kept happening until I pulled over and turned her off and started her back up. But then it would happen all over again after 2-5 min and have to repeat the same turn off turn on technique. I thought it was the maf crapping out so I changed it to a different one. I didn't happen as frequently but still was doing the same thing. I checked the IC pipes but they all seemed fine. Any info would be great.

Sounds like a dying ignition coil or igniter. At least thats how mine was. Everything was fine until the motor warmed up.

I think Chris nailed it. It sounds like and ignition problem to me. Check the ignitor and the coils.

Well the power wire on my alternator was frayed and arcing today, and then the connector snaps when I tried to take it off. I guess it welded the nut on good. I'm going to piece it together with my single cam alternator. Hope it works

Good luck! Let us know if that fixed it.
