Strange problem with SE-R tail lights???

Ok, so I'm not the only one. FYI this IS a manufacturer defect. Nissan of Stockton, CA. has recognized it as a recurring problem and has gotten Nissan corporate involved. As I said before, mine were that way from new. what's funny is, that car sat on the showroom floor for two months, and no one noticed the problem!! I was also able to get the dealer to REPLACE my entire rear axle due to the car pulling to the right. They actually took the time to 4 wheel align it and found it way out of spec. So keep fighting with them 'til you get what you want.

I've had my '08 SPEC-V now for a little over a year, and my local dealer today is ordering my 3rd SET of tail lights. I keep finding after a few months a strange etching/fogging on the inside of the clear outer lens. Nissan doesn't know what to make of it. And since the first set was ordered the day after I puchased the car, they know it's nothing that I'm doing. Anyone else having this problem?

My headlights have this etching on them, but my tail lights are clear.

my tailights have the same problem and even have a crack in them in the same spot on both lights. took to dealer and they said they could not replace them under warranty. had to be a rock hit them while i was going down the road. each light is close to $200. i was like yeah ok umm...how about no?! they fog up like crazy. nissan will not replace them for me

Try a different dealer. That one's screwing you around.

Yeah, rocks hitting the two lights in the same place seems to be a common problem with these cars - especially when reversing at 90mph on the highway
