Here's the problem i'm running into.
if i let my car warm up fully before stepping on the gas she runs like a champ.
but if i don't, even if i tap the gas while she's sitting in my driveway, she give me a hard time.
and then, even after she warms up(assuming i touched the gas) she bucks, and on higher rpm's backfires on both acceleration and deceleration. i have almost no power.

I have a stock ECU with a 1st gen superAFC that seems(according to my AFR gauge) to be set up to be just a tad on the rich side.

What could cause backfires on accel if i don't let the car warm up?

Thanks
Kevin A

Ecu throwing any codes when it messing up? I would ohm out the coolant temp sensor when it is colded, warm and when it is messing up and see if that is the issue. The temp sensor for the ecu not the gauge.
