Strange power

So I have had my Z since august and when i got it it was extremly slow. I think it had sat for at least a year because for the first few months the more i would drive it the more it seemed to break in and become faster and easier to drive. It is a 93' NA coupe with a standard transmission and all stock.

The Weird thing i've noticed is that if i let it sit for a day or two without driving it (Which has only happened like twice since i got it) It becomes extremely fast. It puts out alot more power. I can floor it in 3rd and the tires will just start spinning which normally barely even happens in first. The engine sounds different when it is in this mode and it is only like that for a few minutes. When this happens it is idling at @ 2000 rpm's and the engine rev's alot faster. I was wondering if anyone knew what is goin on or how i can get it to stay like that.

First of all I don't think you want your car to rev normally at 2,000 RPMs. I don't know what the problem could be though. Sorry.
