The L16 in my truck (which is not the original motor) also had this extra stick port. I cut it short and crimped it over.

Thought so...another great find with this was the W53 closed chamber peanut head!

And in great running shape!
Not bad for $40.00, huh?

Ok, now you're going to have to explain the "peanut head" comment!:)

PS, I've emailed the support board to find out if we can add more than one picture to each post. Did you create this post first with both pictures then cut and paste? Ken

Ken:

I actually posted the pictures via photobucket so that more than one can be in each post...now, about that peanut head...here's what I have:

Kinda looks like a peanut in a way, huh?

versus the normal combustion chamber here:

nice huh? higher compression with the closed (peanut) head...

Oh, and thanks to Bre620 for the pictures of these heads he has posted on his board:  the620.com

Nah..two different engines...the original  blew gasket years ago...and the guy I bought it from, now that I think about it said he thought he washed out a piston, not blew a gasket...thanks

The C, E, E1, and J series engines were all used as forklift engines.

i know this isn't the exact place to ask this, but is there anyone on here who can help me with some tech questions i have about these beasts?  my shop uses a 1980 TCM forklift with one of these engines in it and it has some HORRIBLE cold weather starting issues...the propane setup is really primitive and i'm not sure how to remedy the problem...i can address it through PM if someone could just point me in the right direction...thanks in advance!
