This could be many things, but in most cases on this forum, it means your MAF wire is too long and/or not shielded properly.rb240det wrote:...it started bucking and pulling like garbage when I would try to accelerate...
MAF wires are the same length as factory, fuel filter is practically new, spark plugs were replaced (then quickly fouled due to richness), coilpacks were all tested and turned out fine, and I just replaced the ignitor chip hoping that it was the source of my problems. It runs much better now, I have practically no problems...until right before it starts to hit boost. Now as I start to build boost, the car stutters and bucks (as previously mentioned). I checked the ECU time and time again and it keeps giving me the all-clear (55). So tomorrow I'm going to double check for any sort of boost leak, other than that I'm beginning to be stumped...any advice would be greatly heeded. So start with the cheapest/easiest things to troubleshoot and work your way up from there.
Well we finally found the problem(s). You were (kinda) right about the MAF. It was leaking a little bit from around the seal at the top of it, so a little bit o' sealant took care of that. Still had some trouble hitting boost without the bucking problem. So we bought some PVC caps and some valve stems and pressurized the intercooler piping and found two random boost leaks. So after fixing those she's running like a dream now. I appreciate all the help you guys have given me!
