strange noise on strart up.

its like i crank it, the motor starts, and then for about 1 - 3 seconds, itll make that sound like a car makes when it wont turnover, but the car is already running, and it doesnt act like its going to die....im thinking starter, what do you think??

does it happen when you let the key go from ignition? It sorta sounds like a goose chocking of some sort....

its the starter.. seems like lotta 240s have that problem including mine but since it works now im not replacing it. It is a bit embarassing at times lol

to me it sounds like in Dumb and Dumber when jim carrey says "You wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?" then makes that loud schreeching noise

hmm. now i just need to find out haw hard it is to replace the starter.
