strange noise from valve cover

hi Nico i started my car today and i heard like the timing chain was rubbing against the top timing chain guide and i was wondering if i eliminate that guide would it cause any problems.

Nope. Do it. But also there is a side guide too that needs to be removed. That ones gonna take a bit to get to.

I say leave that lower one because i took mine off and my S14 still lies in my backyard motorless the top guide probably just broke like they usually do just pop the valve cover and remove it its up front two 12mm bolts your done valve cover back on... BUT!!!! if you have an older motor you might have to do a little more work just post back here if that doesn't fix the problem because your tensioner might be clogged and need to be "refreshed".

alright ill take it out today and check is thats the problem and ill let u guys know by tonight if it fix my problem.

i took out the top timing chain guide and the timing chain was tight enough and the noise stop so thanks everybody for ur time.
