I am having a problem with my idle, obviously.
The car likes to idle erratically when it is cold, and then likes to idle around 1100 RPMs once warmed up. I know its not the idle being set too high because every so often it will settle to standard idle... approx 800 rpms.
I have replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, cleaned the distributor cap and rotor. This has improved the problem somewhat, smoothing out the idle, however it has not fixed the high idle problem. This problem seems to rear its head mainly during winter time, but since its 75 degrees outside in NC now, its starting to get irritating.
I am thinking i may have a vacuum leak somewhere, or my IACV maybe getting stuck.
The PAIR valve has been removed, vac lines sealed up, and exhaust port sealed. the only problems i read ppl having with removing that is a rough idle, which i dont have.
Any suggestions?
