my lights were working fine when I got the car maybe 3months ago, all the sudden they just stopped going down. After researching, checking fuses, and pulling relays from the junkyard and swapping them around I “think” found the problem. While I was actually in the middle of swapping a relay they started to go down just a little. Apparently the relay in the picture is at fault, when I push down hard on it, depending on how long, they retract. If I push down and let go they go down just a little, if I push down and hold it they go down all the way. It almost seems like the relay and the plug or w/e u call it aren’t making contact, or maybe the plug is messed up. I looked around and haven’t found anyone with this kind of problem, anyone have an idea how to fix it?

unbot the relay panel to expose the wires underneath. turn circuit on with the relay plugged in, get an ohmeter and check for continuity between the 2 coil leads. should have zero ohms. if the relay is plugged all the way in and u still get nothing. add some dielectric grease to the contacts.

sounds like a short, insted of pressing on the relay, try connecting the relay the moving the wires around see what happens, if the headlights work it is a short, find it with a multimeter and fix it.
