so last week i took apart the old motor that i pulled out of my car to see what was the matter with it... on the head gasket where there would usually be holes for the coolant there was not, there was a nasty build up and it looked almost as if there were never holes, i scraped at it with a screw driver and there was nothing but metal where i scratched at... also there were some decent sized chucks of plastic in the oil pan, could this possibly be part of the chain guide? so what do you guys think?

Some of the coolant passages on the block or not meant to go through. Look at the head and see which ones are suppose to be open.

Secondly yes those plastic peices where your chain guides.

yeah, i think there are really only like two open passages in the headgasket, and a bunch of places that look like they should be open.

My DE collection of headgaskets is at 5 plus two in the cars...
