I had a 1991 Q45 before I bought my 1993 Q45 (there is a story all about it just search), So I had the fuel pump crap out this was before I was a Q45 enthusiast and before I was very well trained on these cars.

But the fuel pump craped out yet the Fuel pump contoller worked fine when replace with a used pump.

As far as i knew Idle pressure and WOT pressure was fine.

How is this possible?

Am I blessed

I guess it's possible that your pump failed in a way that didn't damage the controller - or possibly a prior owner had already bypassed a failed controller to ground as a quick fix and your pump was running in high mode at all times?

Actually it was plugged in correctly with no ground, but after the install of the used pump the mechanic grounded the new pump because the car would'nt start.

Problem solved the mechanic fubarded the install of the new pump.
