Im having an issue with the Rod that Holds up my hood. For some reason it is resting on my radiator hose now when it is down and clipped into place. it shouldnt be doing that. im going to rig something or wrap the Hose with something to keep the Bar from rubbing a hole in the hose but has anyone else seen this before?

that kinda happened to me but that's cuz it fell out and I mindlessly stuck it back into the wrong hole... you might want to double check that.

Check what hole it's in and see if it's bent.

you know i checked the rod itself it wasnt bent, when i was at the dealer they couldnt figure it out, they even placed a new bushing for the rod in the hole and it didnt resolve it, i didnt think that the hole itself could be bent. hm...anyway for now i just wrapped the effected area of the hose with a thin layer of foam and wrapped in automotive grade duct tape. ghetto but it will do the job.

see how the rod was resting on the Hose, it was leaving a small indentation on it. not good. so now something is placed in between the 2.

Holy balls!

I think it may be twisted over 180* in its base on the driver's side, seems like the crook is supposed to go the other way... I'll look at mine later this afternoon and see.

yeah ya see thats what i remembered as well. you know what i think? when some one was working on it (a Shop doing some work) they swapped it for a 1.8s bar, because that is the way the 1.8s goes, yet it doesnt touch the lsightly smaller radiator hose, it hangs above it. which means i may need a new one.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're turned around in there.

I wonder why someone would swap a 1.8S bar in or if it just got turned somehow? I'd look under where it's connected and see if you can flip it over.

That sucks, I guess you'll have to show it to them and have them change it out for the right one.
