Strange electrical

Hey crew! I have a question. My 96se has an electrical issue from time to time. At times, the radio will not come on. It was doing this when I bought the car from my sister, and she had taken it to the dealer twice to have the radio sent off for repair. Well, it's still doing the same thing, but....here's the thing....I have noticed that when the radio doesn't work, the wipers don't work either. I have not even begun to look at this in any depth, but I just wondered if anyone else has maybe seen/heard of this? What would the radio and the wipers have in common? Sometimes I can turn the key off and back on a time or two and get them to work. Could it be the ignition switch? Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I had that problem once or twich when I first got my 240I would realize the radio didnt work then the air, I never tried the wipers. When I replaced the radio it never did it again.
